Hello Every one of you out there in blog land, especially those of you who appreciate boats and how they really can be pain in the butts!  It's now August of 2015!.....a lot has been happening on the boat front for me, and I hope for yo as well!  Notice the picture! If you look closely enough you will notice this is a Johnson Sea 18 Horse....1957 vintage!  Took it out for the first time last week and it ran like a real champ! Crack a beer and let's forget about our worldly problems and celebrate like it's 1956!

See Ya!

Aunt Hilda

This is an old picture if you are looking at it by todays calendar .....but I wanted to update the blog.  The boat is running like a champ these days and am taking it up to Rollins lake this month.  It's a lake near Grass Valley CA....up in the gold country....remember the 49ers?

Been a long time.......

.............since we've rock and rolled with this blog!!,  but the wait is definitely not too long!  Attempting to live in the now I've been determining to add posts in the future.  How does one do it?

But enough waxing philosophical, here's the power plant:  note the Mickey Thompson valve covers and the custom exhaust system!...wall to wall awesome!!

Leapin' crud!

..........so what is it now you ask?

...the frickin' thing sprang a leak and almost sunk!....that's what!
So, being the pain in the butt that it is We had to hoist the mofo up, fill up the boat with water (see picture) and crawl underneath (putting our lives on the line-what if the boat suddenly dropped crushing us to death!) and see if leakage happens!....and it did!......Now we gotta figger out what to do!

....stay tuned for the exciting multi part series called "this leaky boat!"
